A former U.S. Navy man, Chuck Boyd also spent a number of years working in the construction industry, and is certified in various building trades and technical specialties. When he and his wife Susan, both boat-lovers, bought a vacation home here at Smith Mountain Lake, a new career direction was born: he decided to pursue becoming a real estate agent who could show
people lakefront properties by boat! Years after that decision, Chuck relishes showing off-lake properties as well as those on the water, and works with clients at Smith Mountain Lake and also Northern Virginia, where he and Susan raised their family. He has experience in buying and selling both residential and commercial properties. When at the lake, Chuck enjoys boating and fishing, and hunting and camping are also high on his list of favorite outdoor activities. An elder at his church, he also loves
singing in the choir. He has volunteered for a variety of local and international charitable organizations, and has participated in numerous mission projects both Stateside and abroad. The travel has been great, but Chuck loves coming back to Smith Mountain Lake, and would love a chance to show you around. You choose: by car, or by boat?
