Some of these jobs sound contradictory, but then so do the descriptions “easy-going,” and “driven to give all he has,” but they all describe Lyons Team Realtors, real estate agent Rob Hurt. He has been involved in building new homes and renovating older ones for the previous 20 years. With his past in counseling and teaching dance, it seemed his areas of expertise, people and properties, converged in the job description of realtor. With over eight years of
experience under his belt in all kinds of real estate—land, residential, commercial, both buying and selling, Rob finds his interest and passion seem to be gravitating towards selling larger tracts of property. Since the contacts he’s made over the past years include both people interested in buying and people interested in selling larger pieces of land, sometimes connecting the two just seems to fall into place. But Rob knows that,
usually, nothing takes the place of working hard with integrity and creativity to bring buyer and seller together in a mutually beneficial transaction, and he does just that on a daily basis.

Married and the father of two boys, Rob’s favorite relaxation choice is to spend time with his family, and his interest in travel is mostly limited to family trips at this time; travel to other parts of the world is on hold. Traveling around the Bedford County, Smith Mountain Lake area showing properties is where Rob has his
attention focused right now, doing the legwork to make his clients’ dreams come true.
